Does anyone know of a wireless helmet headset?

I would really like to get rid of the cord, surely in todays world someone makes a wirelss headset to accomplish this.

Anyone come across such a thing?

Chatterbox I believe released a bluetooth style one but I think the only place I saw it was on Aerostich's site.

Basic issue with wireless headsets is the battery. You can use a small one that won't last long or a honkin' one that's going to bother people when they're in the wind. Although the later may not be that true since Chatterbox has you mount that honkin' thing on the side of your helmet. I don't see how people can stand it.

I'm with you on the "cut-the-cord" thing though.

Yeah, wireless would be great. I often wonder what will happen to my headset if I have to get off the bike unexpectedly??? Would the plugs disconnect before it rips the speakers and mic from the helmet while I'm wearing it???

I can say first hand, you will become disconnected and never even know it happened.

I had the same concern and had a getoff several years ago. No problem. That's why the connectors are not of a twist lock variety.

I have a chatterbox and have never noticed any effect on my neck while riding either my ZX12R or my Z1000, both of which have your head directly in the wind. I wouldn't mind a battery pack that mounted on the helmet, just let me be cord free :-)

Looks like most of the current offerings are for just a cell phone hookup. What I really want is the equivalent of a autocom unit with several inputs + CB/FRS + rider/pass intercom then have bluetooth to the helmet.
