Hello all,

I've had my new Russell for about 6,000 miles now. This thing is about a 500% improvement over the stock seat, but I find that the nose of it (right behind the jewels) is just a little taller (harder) than it needs to be. I requested that they build up the front to compensate for the forward slope - and I think they overdid it just a bit. It never really gets sore there, but it feels like a constant pressure. I would like to have about 1/4 inch of foam removed from this spot - . Has anyone ever stripped off their vinyl and done a slight mod like this? I hate to send it all the way back to Russell for such a minor adjustment (not to mention spend about $50-60 postage and be without a seat for that time). How hard is it to re-attach the vinyl and will a regular heavy duty (Arrow) staple gun do the job? The existing staples look very tiny.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks, Brian

Yes - Just did that last week. What a difference it has made......do it. Note the cover is glued to the foam.

Alternatively, you could solve the problem by having the jewels removed!
