Hello all. I have been reading though the various threads reviewing the various seats. I notice that most of you are.. well. perhaps a little lighter than I. I'm 6'4" and about 260 (not fat just big). I have about a 35inseam and pretty much am ready to let my dog have the stocker for a chew toy. Do any of you larger fellas have some opinons on which of these seats are comfy for the long haul? I like Corbin's longer front on the "standard" full model but also like the idea of the Sergeant and the Russel seats. Comments? Thanks.

From everything I have ever heard... Russell is the way to go unless you're inseam deficient like me... at 28" a spring built saddle wasn't an option. I went with Rick mayer and am very pleased w/ the saddle (not so much w/ the organization), but if I had an open field I would have gone with Russell.

Hey there. I ride with a sargent seat and I'm very happy with it. Me= 6'3" ish and 250 with 34" inseam. Let the dog have the stock seat, just save the pan incase you need it later. The Sargent is the only seat I've tried, and I love it. A lot of guys like the Russel also. good luck...:D

Let me add a ditto on the Russell. They will custom build the seat to your specific needs. If you need extra reach to the pegs, they'll make it taller, etc. Also they either install two springs or a heavier duty spring in the seat to support your weight. You just let them know what you need and they work their magic. The best way to do it is to go to Russell in person to have your seat built. Call them to schedule your ride-in appointement, it's worth the extra $80.00 to do it, for the personal service. It takes about 2/3 of a day to do it.
