Wow! That is a nice, nice, color!

This may not be appropriate to ask, but, how much did that custom job cost? They did a wonderful job.

And here's some shots in a more natural light and with some items for contrast...

Some people say it's yellow or orange, til they see it against those colors. Wife calls it a school bus color... :) , but not quite.

Enjoy.

(Wait til ya'll see the matching helmet and airbrush...) :D

Well just for paint, not tear down, prep, 2 coats base white, 3 coats color, and 2 coats clear, wet sanding and polish. Bear in mind that all of the insides of the pieces are painted and cleared as well (anything silver became orange). All of the stickers were replaced and set under the clear including the side emblems, and the tail sticker became a raised silver type. The Corbin Smuggler was treated the same way, as well as a new helmet.

=$2200.00 and almost 4 months...

The maintenance costs on the other side, teardown and removing excess parts for paint, regulator, coolant, starter balance, new tires, brakes, bulbs (PIAA's), seat (Sargeant), powdercoating the rims black (again due to wear), Corbin Smuggler, oil/filter, build up, and a host of other small items...$3200.00

Farkle fund's a bit dry... :D

I think that is definitely a fair price and, again, it looks great. I bet it is stunning in person. Now, how do I convince the wife...

And a rather large thank you to Gear-up (Gary) for making his new (15 miles) '05 exhaust pipes available to me. That was a huge help after Honda didn't want to play in the warranty department. Found out the the '05 left pipe has a heat shield that my '03's didn't have, nice bonus.

Thank you again Gary... :bow1:

Very nice looking job there. I've done a few custom paint jobs on bikes, but always cruizers, never a tupperware bike, but I am planning to paint mine next spring as soon as it warms up enough to park it and ride the VTX. I am especially in trigued by your solo seat compartment thing (is that the corbin smuggler you mentioned?) I do almost alol of my riding solo and I think it looks pretty darn sharp on that bike, even has a compartment in it so it is functional as well. Where is a good place to buy one of those?

Once again, very nice looking bike, have fun with it and congrats on the baby on the way, my brother and his wife just ad their first yesterday, always a good thing to bring life into the world.

That is sweet!... Excellent job, well worth the wait.

A very classy looking job, looks like that's what color the bike should have been in the first place.

Congrats!.. Now, finish that garage.

Thanks, the goal was to have it set up as a stock look with a special color. Can't wait to take it by a track day and let the Honda rep's get a glimse... :o4:

Your bike looks great. I like the details on the wheels and saddlebags.
Gald you did not have to be submitted while waiting to get the bike back.

Where did you get those "scuff pads" on the frame?
See Pic.

The frame at the heel location was getting a bit shiny.
