Man, it sux I'm not going... I will be taking a trip the following week with a good friend and I'm sure we'll have a great ride...

But, I'm gonna miss meeting some great friends I met last year and some new ones I've found since..

Katrina will be onshore by Monday, that gives me 3 days to get the evacuation stuff done, clear up the yard and get power back. Otherwise she can go to Tx. for the week!

Well, I got the wife's PC800 back together today. Statorectomy completed and it's making electricity again like it's going out of style. Wow do you ever have to take a lot of plastic off that beast to get to the engine. Even worse than the ST.

We'll be leaving on Sunday and riding over toward Monteray, then Monday down the coast to SLO. The wife's first long ride so we need to keep the daily mileage down

Looking forward to seeing all my old friends from previous WeSTOC's and meeting new ones from the forum here and others. It'll be a little smaller than some of the WeSTOC's, we're expecting about 125 people, but that means it'll just be a bit more intimate.

WeSTOC newbies, don't forget to ask for your first-timer ribbon so we can make a special effort to make you feel welcome. And you old-timers, welcome back, the tenth anniversary of WeSTOC will be something special. It'll be happy in that we'll be welcoming new friends to the rally, and sad that some of the regulars won't be able to make it.

But I guarantee, a good time will be had by all, well, except those of you who aren't there. We'll host a beer to those who can't make it, and make a special toast to our departed members.

It's the biggest STOC event of the year. You should be there, there's still time to make it.

The reason I can't go this year is my return to "what I do" after a 4 year layoff! I got the call a week ago Friday with an offer to return and I accepted of course.
11/21/01 was the laST day I worked at my real job.
Everyone have a fun, safe time and take lots of pictures for us homebound riders. You are going to love the area.

My original plan was to ride to tahoe with Chris and Al on Friday and Sat, since they're not going, I'll just go home Friday. This just might work, I dont know what I'll miss on Tuesday, but I'll try and make up for it Wed. I'm sure I'll have to catch up on the beer intake, but hey.....I didn't get this girlish figure from Jenny Craig......:D

Well it looks like I'll get to go to Westoc for the last night only. It's worth a road trip. I'll probably arrive around 6 pm and mingle at the hotel til everyone's tired. Then I'll grab a cheap hotel enroute back to PHX. See ya'll there... just look for the orange glow on the eastern horizon. :D
