Since may of us do not know each other or what we look like, if any listers want to get in touch and meet other listers and say hi in person I suggest we can use our Cell phones. A little telephone tag and you can get together.

My number is 805-807-3357

Or in this thread we can try and setup a meeting place and time somewhere at the main hotel.

There's been a central bulletin board at some of the ones I've attended. It would work if everyone (who wants) leaves their name/room# under a ST-Owners.com heading on the board. Cell phone calls can get expensive for us "out of country" types, depending on the plan we're on. Or..... there's always the "name tag squint game" :D Setting pu a time/place before hand works too. The riders meeting goes Tuesday night and varies in length. Wednesday nights are sometimes loosley rganized around a pub/pizza night. The best IMO, is to set up a breakfast date on Wed. maybe with a note on the board as to time etc.

That sounds like a plan.

Don will not be at WeSTOC. He got a awesome job offer last week :) and he has already started. Don an I were sharing a room, so now I will be lonely.

I have no contrete plans. I will probably do something like 33->58->229->41->101->SLO.

Good idea...

If you want, just post where you're staying and what room # and I'll edit Norman's first post with it.. that way, you could just print that one off and keep it with you.

Since WeSTOC this year is being held at an Embassy Suites, another good meeting place might be the managers reception, free bar, each evening from 5-7 in the Atrium, and/or the free breakfast each morning.

See you there!

It will always be easy to find Don F. Just look for the gaggle of cute girls that always follow him around! The ladies' day trip to the spa last year was most memorable! ;)

What route are you taking?

 Asked and answered...

"I will probably do something like 33->58->229->41->101->SLO"

Those are highway numbers. SLO = San Luis Obispo.

I've been informed that the hotel is Geek friendly, wired highspeed in the rooms, wireless in the atrium. Looks like the usual Wed. night chat could have a live update or two. ;)

Which day are you heading up? I've got a SLO reservation for Monday, so will probably be leaving Late AM. Another alternative would be 33->166->101. 58 is more fun - 166 more fast - pick you poison...

I think I'm going to do a route that includes 58. I'm leaving on Monday too. Want to meet up Jim. Hal Rumenapp will be riding with me too.

Hey, you back from visiting the camels again? :D

The way I remember last year is that you went to the spa with the ladies while I was leading a group of riders down some California goat path.

BTW, be careful loading your bike this year, willya STeve? :D

My reservation is for Tuesday so I was heading up Tuesday. Of course, getting a room, anywhere, Monday night is probably easy.

Well, I won't be there....

Disaster relief efforts will occupy all of our time for a while. I will try to post whats going on when I can later.

For those of you that I have been coresponding with and look forward to meeting, it will happen, just not a SLO next week. Thanks for all the support and stuff. I need a volunteer to p/u my shirts and hat and Al's stuff if and I will re-imburse for mailing it later after the event.

MOre later

Chris,

I would be willing to get and send your gear. Don't worry about it. I'll ask about your stuff when I get there.

Good luck down there.
