Well, my Sargent seat just arrived and I thought I would post a couple of pictures in case anyone else is considering the red piping for an '05 model. So far the seat seems definitely better than the stock, but does still seam to cause me to slide forward a bit. Will have to give a few more hundred miles before a final judgement. Enjoy.

I wasn't aware that you could stagger the settings like that. Is that true and does the seat still fit properly. Thanks.

is the seat heated? was the red a special order?

It is the best seat I've tried on my ST1100, beating the stock, two different Corbins, and a Saddlemen, for mileage, unhampered by discomfort, but, I think I like it.
Take a long weekend, like this one, and ride to the coast; then, to the other one!
If yer bum don't hurt, they got it right!
Hard to really judge a saddle, without a long ride, or two, because it takes 600-1000 miles to really feel the difference, if it's a mileage seat that you desire.
Personally, I'd sell the house before my Sargent seat, because I spend more time there!
Good luck; Ride long, and safe, Terry

The seat is not heated. The red welt was a special order, but only added $20 to the cost. I think it looks great with the bike.

I'm wondering as well about staggering the hights? I didn't think it was possible, but then again I've never really tried.

Looks very nice. Silver welts will make it faster though. :03biker:

I have the Sargent on my '03' and I find the lowest setting is the 'flatest', the middle setting does tend to 'push' me forward a bit but I love the seat for the room and comfort.

I'd be surprised if you could 'mix and match' the fore-and-aft settings though, has anyone done this?

I have done it accidently, but I don't think that mixing and matching was Honda's intention and I'm not certain that it is good for the seat pan.

You can. You have to force it a little, but it's all pretty soft plastic, so I haven't seen any ill effects from it. Worked with the Sargent too, though I personally found that I preferred the Sargent level.

It's probably worth noting that Honda does not recommend putting the seat on this way - but I'm not sure what their reasoning is.

Good luck with the seat - it looks nice, but mine's on its way back to them. Amazingly enough, I've found it even less comfortable than stock. Hopefully your experience will be more in line with what other people have been reported though.
