How weather proof is the micro switch on the Piaa lights?

Getting ready to install aux lights on my Steed-Piaa 1100x/Seng mounts. Question 1-I've seen the micro switch mounted on the outside of the lt side storage box and next to the hi/lo headlight switch. Which do you prefer and does has anyone remounted the micro switch for a better location?
2-How weatherproof ( any issues) is the switch-which would be a consideration for mounting location. (pics?). All replies appreciated.

Thanks guys. Well, as soon as we get a rainy day or two here in the North Bay, I'll install the lights--switch-think, well, i'll just play with location -hell, semi-retired-wife still working-lot's o'time
