Weekend Ride to Mena, AR.

I don't know who is going to be considered the host for this ride, TCAT, COG, or MTA. But who cares, here it is.

KSU at 8:00am. If there is a large number of bikes we will split up into smaller groups. We will ride the back roads up to Mena, we will hit 144, Indian Hwy, and Talimena Drive on the way....we will try to skip the gravel this year (long story) We will head back Sunday morning.

I have blocked off 20 rooms at Sun Country Inn in Mena at a small (very small) discount. They will hold the rooms until September 10th. The rooms are NOT guaranteed, so you will need to make your own reservations. Just tell them you want one of the room that I blocked off.

the hilite to me is the little known indian hiway. 15 miles of curves w/ no traffic, cops, or hidden driveways. just a smooth curvy 2 laner with the occasional deer, bear or sasquatch. :D it would be cool to get a few STs riding along with us....

If you do get a ticket on the talimena drive, it's $50 and doesn't go on your record... a friend of mine on his CBR got tagged in front of me once...

Second Annual Dying Leaf Rally

November 4, 5, 6

The Second Annual Dying Leaf Rally is set for November 4-6 based out of Clarksville, Arkansas. Last year we got lucky with perfect weather and had a really great time and we hope for more of the same this year. I will hand out some suggested routes/maps, but as always your free to ride your own ride.
