I am ready to pull the trigger and order a Russel seat for the ST. Unfortunatly I will not be able to get the seat in time for the next long ride i will be going on. Has anyone had any luck with the aftermarket seat cushions that are avalaible?? Thanks

A friend of mine uses those beads on his connie. They look kind of funny but he swears by them.

I just been trying out a sheep skin on my ST. Does seem to add some comfort to the stock seat. Almost makes you want to try a ride in the nude :)

I used a sheepskin for many years until I found Corbin.

Don't forget that us poor *******s up here in Canada have to take second best or give up an arm and a leg for things we want from the US.

Here's an idea. Have someone you know in the States close to the Canadian border order a seat for you, ride over pick it up and ride back. New seat, what new seat. The stock seat isn't worth burning but if your American buddy can sell it for you and send you the funds you win. Now, your next problem is trying to decide which seat to order. If anything else, it would be a good excuse to go for a ride.

Ride on down to Casper, WY and stay for a few days, get your new seat, and ride on home with a smile. There aren't a lot fo good riding roads around here, but there is some nice scenery and some great trout fishing.

I got lucky about a month ago and my brother was in Florida so he brought me back enough Honda oil and filters to last a few years.
So good buds on the honda V65 board have helped out in the past with sending on stuff for me.

Try Alaska Leather. Their deluxe sheepskin is $45 if you have a group affiliation (of course you do). Noticeable improvement over stock. Lots of sheep jokes from your friends, too.

On long trips, on my 1991 ST1100, I use the Corbin rumble seat with the $75 black Aeostich sheep skin. Comming back from BearSTOC, my butt got real hot until I stopped at WalMart in Rotan, Co for the $8.00 taxicab bead seat cover. Just put on top of the sheep skin, under bed roll and cothes bag, heat problem solved. Looks like hell, cools like an A/C.

For short runs, the stock ST1100 seat and sheep skin are fine. Around Houston with 95 degrees and 95% humidity, you just have to enjoy the heat.

In the process of purchasing a seat to replace the stock. Read a lot of posts regarding the Sargent seat. How is it in comparison to the Russell? Pluses, minuses, etc...

I'll add to the sheepskin list. I even added one to my Sargent seat.

Got mine from here.
