View Full Version : GPS software file conversion
My Dad has a route for our next trip that he created in Streets & Trips 2005. I have MapSource and S&T 2002, neither of which will open this S&T '05 file.
Is anyone aware of any file conversion utilities to convert .est files (Streets & Trips) to other formats such as Garmin or PCX5?
If not, is there some kind soul that has S&T 2005 that can convert this file to one of the above formats for me?
Thank you!

RC has it. You can use the shareware version and pull in all the waypoints into the utility then save them out in a GPX format file. Then pull them into Mapsource and create your route. I don't recommend using the route feature from GPS Utility but knock yourself out if you think you can make it work realiably.

I use this method found here:

All you really need is ST2GPX and a little know how to create the .bat file and then its simple - drag and drop.

Funny thing was I got my City Select software last night and manually convert routes that Putt had made in S & T for Saturday. Then, when I thought I was headed to bed. This thread came up and I ended up awake another Hour playing with this software. Anyways, Software works great.
