Those are actually two different roads. Hwy 108/Sonora pass is the one with the 26% grade. Hwy 36 is 140 miles of twisties from Red Bluff to the coast.

Yea... you can go miles and miles... may have a curve or two. ;) We do have a few excellent roller coasters in the Hill Country :D

The description of I5 in CA is "mile after mile of mile after mile..." No hills, curves, or anything else to distinguish it (except for the cattle yards about mid-state, intense olfactory experience...).

You would be surprised at the vast amount of terrain types in TX. I wouldn't say we have a mountain... but we do have hills. :D The Hill Country is basically outside of San Antonio... you can run it almost to Austin :eek: Land mass of Rhode Island maybe :eek:
