Let's make sure everyone got home safely from this awesome happening.
Rode a little, ate a little, talked a little, drank a little and got wet a little. OK, maybe not a little (except for the wet). I had a great time. Thank you Brian for hosting. Your tireless efforts made this possible. Todd, thank you for being a splendid co-host, and your superb sense of humor. Thank everyone who attended, this was better than NeSTOC.

Sam and I did arrive home safely but the Steed suffered a cracked front fender as the result of a jerk backing into us in traffic 30 miles from the Canadian Border in Watertown NY. Fortunately we were straight on and he didnt push the bike over. The same old story ... claimed he did not see us. He did pay cash for the damage so we don't have to deal with insurance companies and we were very lucky no one got hurt. I definately need one of those air Horns to wake these jerks up.
A new fender is on order from Honda Directline for $125
Next year we will definately be there for the whole show
Thanks for everything

Just got home, but I guess I'll start. I hope someone took better pictures than I did. Friday was gray and damp but our spirits soared above it all. 12 ST's were scheduled to meet at The Blue Colony Diner. Everyone showed despite the gloomy weather forcast. The first photo was taken at our first stop just before it started raining hard. Rain gear and the weather protection provided by the ST saved the day.
Our arrival was greeted with a no motorcycles sign, a welcome sewing machines sign (I didn't see it) and the official STowners.com banner.

:bow1: I want to thank all you guys and gals for making this outing a great success. I had a blast doing it for you and you guys made it even better by not gettin all pansie-assed about the weather. Aside from the Hail and the tornado.....I'd say we all had an awesome week-end. And as far as the group ride of 12 bikes in one group, you guys rock :yr1: . You kept us together great. Next year though....I want to see some ST1100's also. There was not one present. Lunch at the Vanilla Bean was great also. Carl got jipped on his avacado sauce, but other than that the food was great. Not many bikes there though. I think the rest of the CT bikers were scared off by the weather forecast for Saturday, but it turned out to be an awesome day weather wise........well.....right up until the hail and the tornado! As the T-shirt reads..."I did hard time at ConSTOC 2005"!

I know a lot of you guys were asking me where we actually went in CT because you didn't know where specific town and such are so here ya go. :04biker: :biker: :03biker:

Dawn and I are home safe, sound, tired, and smelly (well, I am, Dawn got her showers in during the stay). We said good by to SteveST1300 at the New Paltz Exit to the NY State Thruway after an early supper in New Paltz. I think he will be rolling in any minute.

Major, major Kudos and many large thanks to Brian, Todd and Michelle. You were all incredibly gracious and generous hosts. It was really good to see the old NESTOC friends again, and meet the new friends that showed up. The campground itself is an excellent class act without doubt, and we felt very welcome indeed.

Todd tell Sam that I can still see her drawings in my head and they give me a great big happy smile whenever I remember them, she does very good work.

I’m beat and I came home to 49 work related emails, so it will be a few days before I can mess with my photos. I’ll post them as soon as I can.

I’m off to unpack and hit the shower.

Well executed all around. :bow1: Thanks to all the riders, families, and behind-the-scenes people that helped us pull off a great weekend. Hi guys.

I had a great time as well.

Friday's ride in wasn't all that great, but Todd and Michelle made me feel like family. Speaking of family, you guys and gal are great!

We got wet

We got dry

We saw a lot of Connecticut that was twisty and nice.

there's got to be some st-owner's hiku in there somewhere...

Todd, Michell and Brian, Thanks for the great time! :bow1:
To everyone I met this weekend, I had a ball. :D

To everyone who attended, I told my wife at dinner tonight that I met some new friends. It will be a pleasure to ride with any and all of you again.

All kidding aside, it was great to see other ST'ers.

I checked the owner's manual after I got home, and am due for my 16K service.

I'm going to have them re-route the wires on my heated grips, because you folks pointed out where they **should** route on the throttle.

John, I've already got the bungees for the bags.

I made it home safe late Sunday afternoon.

CONSTOC- the rides, the food and the fellowship, what a great time! Thanks Brian, Todd (and Michelle) and John for putting this all together. It was great meeting everyone. You guys have all become my friends, and I'm looking forward to our next event, I really did have a great time. Sitting around the campfire each evening with all the stories was terrific fun.

My GPS said I traveled a total of 1220 miles. The GPS also said max speed was 104mph, but that must be wrong because I would never knowingly exceed the speed limit.

Thanks everyone! So, when is the next CONSTOC? Will this become an annual event?

Hi Steve, we should be able to work the details out over the win-win-winter (hard to say that word)Those who are interested in coming this way will have to decide on a STOC type of gathering, congregating somewhere and setting off on rides from there, or a tour of the Maritimes.
I would suggest if it's a STOC gathering, Moncton or thereabouts would be the best, from there we could take rides to P.E.I., N.S. or N.B.
I like the idea of a tour because we already have NESTOC and CONSTOC, but I'll go with the flow, whatever y'all decide. :D

Peter, I'm w/ you all the way... a continuous route was the first thing I thought of when this bit of genious was first presented. Maybe a 3 day route, tues-thurs, and then then some sub-group activivty on each end with 3 days to play with getting there and back... would give those that wanted to come from further out a chance to get there without warp drive.

My comments on Constoc-

I took the check-in list and added a few comments to each name.

1. Chris and Sam - Great meeting both of you, and of course you have the best in taste by owning a blue. We all want to tour Canada, and look forward to camping in your back yard.
2. John (AgSTreak) – The gift of kick stand plates to all of us (color coordinated) was great. Thank you! But really, using the excuse that you forgot your tent poles so that you could stay in Brian’s house is so lame :D . You are the first person I met when I arrived at the Blue Colony diner, and you made me feel so comfortable, thanks. And we really did “gel” as a group, didn’t we.
3. Brian (GG) - The campground host! Thanks for the morning coffee! I’m not sure what I’d have done without your coffee. And the hay wagon, the Saturday dinner, wow, you are a great organizer. I look forward to this being an annual event thanks to your efforts!
4. Todd (Kempo) – Hosting us at your campsite and providing dinner Friday was fantastic. And your beautiful wife Michelle still puts up with you, she is special. Your daughters are very pretty girls and very talented. Bones even has a nickname in common with one of your daughters (My 25 year old daughter wants a T-shirt like your daughters “My daddy rides an ST1300”). You’re a great guy. I’ve enjoyed your “leaning against a tree” story and told it to a number of people. I just wish I could have witnessed it (and had a video to put on this board). I still want to make a bet on the Steelers vs the Patriots. And after a couple of beers I wanted to challenge you to a karate match, but even after consuming too many beers, I’m not that stupid :D .
5. Ed (1999purple) – Great meeting you also. Working in New York city, a place I’ve never been, but someday. Ed- you talked to me too much about your Ipod. Now I want to go and buy the new Ipod Nano. But, that’s not the only thing. I’ve got to get the hyperlites and the autocom. Does it ever end?
6. Paul (ST1300NH1) – First time camping in a tent, and you didn’t stay for the second night. Was I really snoring that loud? Are you sure it wasn’t Carl instead of me? And our Oxycotin discussion, if you were not a pharmacist, people would be wondering about this (right Eddie).
7. Carl and Dawn – Pope Carl the STxx, that red poncho sure got a lot of laughs. I guess I left too early on Sunday morning for the blessing of the bikes. And Dawn, are you sure your’e not really Carl’s daughter? I had such a good time meeting both of you. And I’m sure you left a lasting impression (positive of course) on Todd’s daughter. And yes Carl, Dawn was right, that was a snake on the road.
8. Greg (GRN) – I have never seen a moose in the wild. I loved your moose stories, and hope to come to New Hamshire someday to see these monsters for myself. And, why was your tent in the middle of the lake when we returned from dinner Saturday night? If Paul would have known that a flooded tent would get better accommodations, maybe he would have stayed.
9. Eddie (eddiemack) - Eddie, I told my daughter you look nothing like your picture on this board. When she saw the picture see howled. And she loved the picture Bones took with your red eyes. I don’t think that’s camera red-eye, I think it’s too many martini’s. You made me laugh so many times my stomach muscles were hurting the next day.
10. Scott (Bones) - Bones (I hope I get this right) "did I tell you how much I love you today?" I really enjoyed meeting you and our time together. You made me laugh and you made me cry (good cry). We shared some personal stories. Thanks for posting all the great pictures. Following you on Saturday when we passed the woman power-walker was classic. You made me laugh so hard I almost pulled over because I couldn’t control the bike. I’m looking forward to riding with you again. And I’ll be watching for stories from you in all the motorcycle magazines.
11. Steve (steve3b3) – You joined us Friday night, and quickly you fit right in, and of course you were also on the fastest bike. I never got to hear the end of your story about the ticket you got on the ST going over 100 mph. But, I’m sure we will ride again and you can tell me “the rest of the story”.
12. Bruce (STeelersFan) – Bruce, what can I say – he’s an *******.
13. Steve (SteveST1300) – I’m sure I remember you from Americade. It was great meeting you. And thanks also for taking so many great pictures and sharing them. I look forward to riding with you again. As I write this, I raise a Yuengling as a toast to our great weekend together (the toast is to all my new friends). I loved your staintunes exhaust. And the hyperlites (not just you, but many others) I will be sending you a private message about the hyperlites, I’ve gotta have them. I’m sure we will be riding together again. And Steve, don’t you think someone could have mentioned that Yuengling is available in Connecticut, so that I wouldn’t have to carry two cases of beer all the way from western Pennsylvania?

And Dave and Leslie – You joined us for dinner and the Saturday night campfire. You’re a great couple, and I look forward to riding with both of you someday. And of course I felt so comfortable I could tease you guys a little (and the beer helped).

Again Brian – Can’t wait till next year!

And “Fundyrider-Peter”, you were mentioned often (and some of it was positive). I look forward to meeting you. And count me in for any Canada events.

And of course, all of you are welcome anytime here in western Pennsylvania, just give me a few days advance notice so that I can make sure I’m out of town :D . Just kidding, you are always welcome – I’ll even show you some great Pennsylvania roads.

Finally - if my comments offended anyone, I blame it on the Yuengling and I apologize.

Bruce,
I could tell the moment we met you were a good man, it was Dawn's and my privilege that we got to meet you, and thank you SO-O-O much for the Black and tan.

Now this CONSTOC image is a picture for adult board members only, not for the public at large, so it's going here. Actually the CONSTOC crew will "get it." It was well earned (in a good and hilarious way), fair warning was issued (so ya knew it was coming) and pay back's a ***** between friends (also in a good-natured way, did I tell you I love you today? I better after this one) :)

Todd,
Just goofing back with you, you’re a hell of a good guy, and I really ain’t mad. I could see your sense of humor was as good and goofy as mine. I actually I thought I’d pop laughing that night. Your vivid fireside descriptions were positively inspirational and really got my imagination rolling. Dawn calls me silent but deadly when it comes to mutual ribbing.

No, I don’t think you’re anything at all like this picture, but your whole Saturday night skit, combined with my quirky imagery and the photo availability was just way too good to pass up. That Gold Wing airbag belly had me laughing while I added it, but I had to erase your chest to make it work. Photoshop is such a great tool for warped minds. Brian, when I saw he was holding a chair, I knew the program would be perfect for adding the package.

However now I’m going to be scared as hell to be within 60 miles of CT. Those Karate guys arms have a long reach. Le’s call it even up, so I don’t have to wear body armor for the next few years.

Sure wish you were able to make it to NHfcSTOC Todd, your absence will be felt man, I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks for really good memories.

Eddie, I could add hair, but who would know what the slightly askew “Carl’s hand” might come up with so we better leave it be.

Todd, Oh man that chilli was so potent the other colors could almost stay with the red ones! Michelle must have gotten together with MIT, or John, to develop it in the lab.

Todd,
Just goofing back with you, you’re a hell of a good guy, and I really ain’t mad.

No offense ever taken Carl....Believe me, my next fire at the campground I will be missing all of you..

How can you not think of our weekend and smile, even laugh as i am doing now. :D

I bought an ST and in addition to its satisfaction, I have made some lifelong friends..
What a gift owning a machine has given me..

I already miss everyone and it will pain me to be sitting at a wedding i don't want to be at and thinking that you all will be recreating our shannigans at a restaurant.. :(

No you don't need to wear armor, just your robe, I mean Poncho!

My best to all my Brothers..(and of course to Dawn)
From my heart. :bow1:

Carl,.. I always wanted corn rows. The only style hair I can have now is bald or balder. Please Santa,... can I get corn rows for Christmas this year? :xmas:

Eddie,

How's you back..Maybe there is some potential there..(If you're anything like me)

Built in armor protection with corn rows from back hair  :D

Seems like the balder I get, the more I get hair on my back..God truely has a sense of humor

God truly has a sense of humor
For example, consider the power walker in Pomfret, Connecticut.

Todd,.. I tried to grow the back hair longer for that comb over, but the velcro on my Fieldsheer jacket kept getting stuck on it making it hard to put on and off. I may try to grow out the nasal hair, or hair in the ears. Growing old is amazing!

Come, now. You've got Eddie all wrong. Eddie is a sweet gentleman with a heart of gold. Hopefully, with enough encouragement from his ST brethren, someday he will come out of his shell.

The scariest part was going in there after Eddie was done! Something frightening arose from the bowl and started crawling after me, I was left with partial amnesia from the sight of it! :o4:

Eddiemack,

LOL, loved the photo of bones in the dumpster! Can't be blue though, since Bones is on a silver.

Wow, it sure did stink though. I'm sure a dead body had to be in that dumpster. Anyone in this thread related to the Sopranos?

It was quite an impression on meeting you guys for the first time and Eddie you were parked right next to it and you were the first to arrive. Is there more to this story?

Well... Carl did point out that I parked next to the dumpster at the Vanilla Bean too... I guess I get drawn to dumpsters like a moth to a hot light bulb. :rat:
