Probably not well known by riders outside SC, but this stretch of highway from Gaffney, SC to West Union, SC is well worth riding. 11 is not too twisty, but the scenery is beautiful. Off of Hwy 11 several good roads start to the north: 276 through Ceasar's Head State Park all the way up to Brevard, NC, 178 up through the foothills to Rosman, NC, 28 from Wallhalla through the foothills to Deals Gap, where it meets 129. My wife and I had a blast during a week this past june up there.
