I've been searching all over to find a spot on my bike to put a CD deck and haven't had any luck. So now I'm looking at putting a CD deck in my smugglers seat. I was wondering if anyone had heard of this being done before and if you had any ideas how to do it. Or if there is another spot I could put my CD deck. Thanks guys! :biker:

I put my Sony F5710 in the left pocket...perfect fit though you have to remove a fair bit of tupperware to get the left pocket out so you can drill the attachment holes. Also, you have to drill holes for the speaker wires, power cord, remote cable, and antenna wire. Where are you going to put the antenna? I put mine on the left raked back at the same angle as the windshield. Forget the CD part. The slightest bump causes skips as the radio/player was designed to run horizontally. Perhaps at camp...but the iPod works best there. By the way, the iPod does not like to be hard mounted. Nestled in a tank bag keeps it happy.

I have a Smuggler, too. Seems the waste of a nice and also expensive space to put the radio in there and then route all those cables back and forth.

The Sony from Crutchfield's was the cheapest that had BOTH a remote capability and an auxiliary input for a XM or an iPod.
