Bacause they were FREE! I was off today and got a wild hair and decided to remove all the bodywork except the upper cowling (lights). While they were off I decided to replace the headlights with a pair of H4's Osrams I had lying around. Bent the tabs and the first one was fitted in good. Bent the second one's tabs and I guess I did not bend one enough so when I pushed it in the socket I heard a tink. hmmm. Upon further investigation I found the mostly bent tab had broken off a section of the light socket  . Luckily it was not a critical piece of aluminum that broke and the bulb still fit and seems secure. While I was feeling brave I also performed the perforated inner cowling farkle. I just used a 1 inch drill bit for wood and drilled several holes in strategic locations in each inner cowling. Put it all back together and the lights still work and the engine still starts :D . Not sure if either farkle is going to work better than stock but hey like I said they were both free :p: .
