Louie Louie is happy to announce that I'm a happy dude. Afterv saving for a few months and getting some advice from a well known Berkeley tenured professor, aka, HRCA Rob (he is only 46!),and other positive influences(for the most part..) on this site I ordered my AuSTtralian beauties and they arrived today in excellent shipping conditions in AuSTralian cartons and bubbly stuff and a totally cool cap saying Staintune racing.. I sincerely see them as art work (Picasso or Dali, maybe Diego Rivera....among others) , will have them installed tomorrow. Thanks again. Do most st owners use the restrictor or not?? :D :D
PS: On secong thought, the Stock mufflers look like Dali ok..(weird)

Yes ...i agree....However, the stock ones are special and they gave me 10+k miles of great journeys.. however, I wanna meet those yosemite bitish babes, and the staintunes are a good conversation starter ..After all, the countries are kinda related last time I checked!. Did they have nice teeth?

The UK babes were definitely very shagadelic baby. We are separated by a common language.
If you can wait until the weekend I can help you install your Staintunes.

You are living proof that smoking does stunt your growth :D Send you a carton of smokes for your Tunes?
Louie, Louie, congrats on the Staintunes. I think you will really like them. I've had mine since about six weeks after getting the bike and still like them very much. I leave the restrictors in place. The sound is just right for us and no hp is gained removing them.
BTW, I noticed those UK chicks were all over the blue ST. Need I say more?

lol..ok Actually I'm not a smoker. Yes, I really like my Staintunes and can feel just a bit less weigh on the bike. I assume the best way to maintain them is to use the polish, right?

It's an embossed 2-tone grayscale pic of a ST cruising thru a backroad... artsy, eh? :D
I have the cat on the bike project to do after the football game today... got to find my thick winter gloves for this
Their stainless... piece of cake to keep clean ;)
I clean my Staintunes with a wet towel and dry them with a dry towel.
Road tar, other grime, small scratches, slight yellowing on the feed pipe can all be easily cleaned up with Semichrome polish.

What do you think of the sound? Can you hear them when you're going down the highway? I don't like pipes that annoy anyone, myself included. Even on my Harley, I never ride with any pipes that make more than a pleasant rumble. I'd appreciate your input.
Thanks,
John

Sounds great..I live in a condo community that only alows bikes in or out. I therefore use the noise restrictors and it sounds GREAT...I took the restrictors off and it can set car alarms off, but not as loud as a harley.

Now that you have that Austrailian exhaust you can get a hearing aid to hear them.Too quiet.
