Mounting extra lights

Has anyone ever mounted auxilliary lights on the tip-over wings?

I was thinking of making some brackets so that I could make a small cut-out at the bottom of the plastic cover and mount onto the frame behind, similar to the steed-sticks.

Would the lights break the fairing side panels in the event the bike fell over?

Getting some projector lights that are about 75mm wide and was hoping they would tuck under the wings and still be protected. Will have to wait for them to arrive and see how they look.
