Well, I've had my 05 STeed for a couple of weeks now and am wanting to mount my Garmin Streetpilot III on the bike, along with several other accessories, but I don't know what types of RAM mounts are available for this new type of handlebar. I just installed the Genmar Bar risers and they don't give me the option of ram mount in the middle of the bars like the Heli's would have, so I am going to look for other alternatives.
I have seen some of the trick mounting done in the photos section, but wanted to know what each of you used and how you did it.
Thanks for any information you can lend.

Dave,
First you need to change your screen name as you are no longer a wannabe..
Congrats by the way.
As far as the RAM mount is concerned, using either the screws that hold the reservoir to the bars is one option..
Here is link from Cyclegadgets that specifically deals with your GPS..

Or another possibly is to change out your resevior cover with one from Cycle larry that has a theraded loop for a RAM ball. This is how I mounted my XM Roady and works really well.

OR you can replace out the middle only that has a center mount..

Good luck

An additional idea is to install a RAM ball without replacing the plastic cover between the handlebars. I may do this because it's inexpensive and seems just as good as the $50 MCL replacement cover.
Here are the details

Thanks everyone for helping me out with the websites. Now the deliberation begins and then spending the money is next. I love this site!!!
