I was just asked 30 minutes ago if I would be willing to take some Motorcycle buddies to Moonshine... Being that it IS,,, farming season and I am smack dab in the middle of harvest and have not had a day off in about 1 month,,, I said,,,,,, Yes... :D Hey,,, I AM the Boss/Owner/Combine Harvestor Operator/Bottle Washer so,,, I do have that right... :p:

So,,, where 2 or 3 is a good time,,, more would be even better... SO,,,,,,,,

The 2nd,,, EVER,,, Moonshine Lunch Run will be this Saturday!!! October 8th!!!

WHAT!?!?! You say,,, you never heard of Moonshine Illinois!!! Well,,, you are in a big need to get there then!!! Best Hamburgers this side of the Milky Way... The town has a population of,,,,,,, 2... They will sell about 400 - 500 hamburgers on a really good day and 200 on a bad day... It is an old time country store that has been there for EVER!!! It has been on every local TV Station/Paper and also St Louis/Chicago/Indianapolis TV and also the Newspapers of those fine cities...

But wait,,, There Is More!!!

Just last year it was featured on "CBS Sunday Morning" TOO!!! And,,, THEY had a heck of a time getting there without my help!!!

Where is Moonshine??? Well,,, being that I am a "Local" and go there about every week it is easier to show you,,, than tell you... Honestly,,, GPS can't even get you to Moonshine Illinois!!! Well,,, it might but you will end up on a gravel road and having to stop and ask someone on a tractor how to get there so,,, save face and just let me take you...

My plan is to have everyone come by my house and we will leave from here no later than 11:30 am... You can start showing up anytime after 9 am Saturday...

I have a BIG shop,,, lots of chairs...

But WAIT,,, There Is MORE!!!

Everyone that makes the trip I will buy their drink and dessert at Moonshine too!!!

So,,, get yourself to Casey Illinois... There is only one traffic light in town and it is in downtown Casey... It is at the intersection of Rt 49 and OLD Rt 40... Turn east on Old Rt 40 and go till you see 4th street and start watching... It is just 4 blocks from Downtown... Continue till you can see 5th street as we set on the North West corner of Rt 40 and 5th street and we are the BIG brick 2 story home with a shop on the extra lot... My address is REALLY 410 East Main St but on the Map below it shows us as really living at 490 East Main St... ????? 100 years ago SOMEBODY screwed up the house #'s is all I can say...

were picking beans long before they started picking corn, unusuall

Well Terry, it looks like it may be a small gathering. There will be two in my group. We are planning a 9:00 meet in Champaign and then on to Casey. We should arrive by 11:00.

I posted this over on a Touring site and a few I know over there are coming... Then,,, a few locals... It all will be good... Day off,,, Yacking about/looking at bikes,,, riding on a great fall day,,, and a Moonburger... :)

Well, I took the long way back and ended up with a total of 525 mi for the hamburger. Not the record, but absolutely worth every minute and mile. My brother-in-law (Joe from Mokena) thinks we are nuts, but he will be back next year. Terry, thanks again for hosting.
