Just noticed today that my helibars seem a bit loose. I can wobble the handlebars a bit! Scary! Any idea what's going on here? I torqued everything down to spec.....need some help here.

They were worse before Heli put rubber cushions under the riser against the top bridge.:D I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Read the paragraph to the right of the riser picture. (2005 model update)

Yep. The Helibars provide more leverage than the STock bars, therefore, the play is more exaggerated (but normal). The STock bars had quite a bit of play as well, to kill vibration. As Torzilla pointed out, Helibar has improved the situation with the second generation of risers.

Normal for rubber bushing mounted handlebars.
Normal for rubber bushing mounted handlebars.
Yup, and the risers (same w/ MCL) give you greater leverage with the change in the bar angle which is why it's more appearent.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease guys. I was totally anal when doing the installation and KNEW I hadn't missed or botched a procedure. Phew! As I was doing 85MPH southbound on I-355 here in Downers Grove, IL (I was still getting passed) I wondered if I was going to end up in some bad comedy movie as I was rolling down the road with the handlebars in hand but not attached to the bike......AIIIIGH!
