Hi Folks,

I have had my bike for a whopping 11 days and I have already gone nuts on upgrades. I bought a Sargent seat from Larry Cain and installed it as soon as I got home. I did not ride it until the next day and then for the next 3 days back and forth to work. Talk about night and day compared to the stock rock. My butt has thanked me everyday. I was not really sure I would notice a big difference, but I sure did. Thanks Larry.

I also put the grip puppies and throttle rockers on and they also add to a better riding experience. I did not have as much numbness in my right hand as I did before the puppies. The stock grips were too small in diameter and the extra cushion and diameter fits into my hand nicely.

Today my new MCL riser arrived and I just had to drop what I was doing and install it. First I would like to say that I ordered it on the 20th so that is some fast shipping. Second, the instructions are way too easy, I am used to crappy directions that confuse me sorta like the Hondaline Top Box did. Anyway, the install took me about 45 mins. I took the bike for a short ride and can already say that this too is a great upgrade for me. I like that I don't have to reach so far for the bars and can sit more upright. Ofcourse I will have to evaluate over the long term to be sure.

I love this bike and the changes I have made will only enhance my riding experience.

BeBeep - you have added nearly the same farkles I did very soon after my purchase. The addition of the top box, risres, seat, grips, throttle rocker, and some Metz tires was like night and day. I think there is a trend growing - these seem to be a nice combination for many ST riders. Congrats - we have have many years and many thousands of enjoyable miles in front of us! :)

Bob,
You're not entering the farkling wars with the pros are you? LOL! Looks like you've made some good choices and I'm sure you'll enjoy your bike even more.

I have a serious problem with any vehicle I own, I cannot leave it alone. I always have to mod stuff and add stuff. The word "Stock" just does not hack it for me. I will be a contender in the farkling arena but will never catch up to some of the folks on this board. Mostly because I will run out of money!! :D

MCL rules as far as shipping orders :bow1: His instructions should be spot on since he rides what he sells parts for :D

I see another Farklemania canadate in the mix...

The MCL directions were dead on and very easy, it took me less time than I had expected to do the install.

Unfortunately you are right about a Farklemania candidate, I can't leave anything alone. It is a sickness with me, just ask my better half. :D

Today was not the perfect day for a ride but I was going no matter what. I wanted to check out the new riser to see if it made that much if any real difference. It was sorta cold this morning (Texas Cold) so installed a jacket and gloves and hit the road. I put a bit over 100 miles on my bike and the risers are AWESOME!! I really love them so far, no pain in my shoulders and neck for a change. I am so very happy I went for the riser from MCL. :biker:

I still have the numbness in my fingers but I will just hope it will either eventually go away or I get cruise control. Maybe both!! :D

Go Ride,
Bob
