You know, I really do appreciate this forum. I do alot more reading than writing, but just want you to know how great it is....really a pleaure.

Anyway, I've noticed that my back brake lite doesn't come on unless I'm pressing pretty hard on the back brake pedal. Harder than I normally press. The main concern I have with this is when I am holding myself on a hill just before take off, stuff like that, I want to make sure people see me. Light comes on with just a bit of pressure on the front brake. Is there any way to make the back light come on sooner when I operate the back brake pedal? Much obliged.

Yup. That's what happens as the brakes wear. I just did mine.

You can access the adjuster on the right side, just above the foot peg. There's a triangle-shaped hole in the sub-frame (see picture below). Pull the rubber shield back a bit, and you'll see the adjuster for the rear brake light switch. Just give the adjuster's collar a little twist (clockwise I believe), and that's it. Don't go crazy. It doesn't take much. Just a half turn or so should do it.
