Hey everybody,

If you’re looking for somewhere to ride this next Saturday, October 3, the Big brothers Big Sisters of Cowley county is having a Poker run starting at the American Legion Post 10 in Winfield, KS. It then goes to Wellington, KS Post 90 – Ponca City, OK Pizza hut – Native Lights Casino at the State Line – The Red Zone, Arkansas City, KS. There will be a party at the Red Zone at the end of the run. Creekstone will be serving Tri-tip steaks at the party. There will be a 50/50 drawing, raffle prizes, and KACY Radio will be providing the music and other entertainment. I will be working at Post 10 for rider registration and will be the last bike out at approx 1 PM if anybody wants to form a ST group. This Poker run is for all to participate in, including cages aka cars. The cost is $25 which includes you poker hand, T-Shirt, party and dinner at the end. Extra hands can be bought for $5. Most people register the day of the event, so you do not have to pre-register. Here is a link to the Poker run site for more info.

See you there,

Sounds like a good cause. If I don't have to work. I'll be there.

Tiny: I registered Saturday after I got back from the Arlington RTE. I may try to bring Desmo Steve along; he's due back in town a couple of days before the ride. I'll take the next to last rider out slot if you want some company. (If you happen to see any 3XL tee shirts, set one aside for me.) Can't beat a nice ride, a good cause, and a steak dinner.

Anybody who is coming to this let me know your T-shirt size pronto and I will set them to the side with your names on them. We have a plenty of shirts ordered but it can't hurt to let me know early. This is for a really good cause,(yea, yea I know they are always a good cause) but there are a lot of kids still needing Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Thanks in advance for your support. PM or post here if you have any other questions.

Thanks Roger and his friends for attending the Poker run. It was smaller than last year, but still a good turnout. Sorry I wasn't able to ride with you, but it took a lot more hands on for me this year. See you next week after I get my Russell seat.

Thanks again,

We had a good ride, and beautiful fall weather. Tiny and his crew had things well organized, and there was even a T-shirt in my size (Tiny takes care of his boys...) There were three STs at the event, all forum members. We're making inroads on the cruiser ranks...
