I recently bought a Hein Gericke Timbuktu Air jacket & Cargo pants. I am very pleased with this set because the quality is good and I can wear this gear year around in Texas. At that time I looked at the discontinued Belstaff jackets on Ebay. I have read good things about Belstaff and the closeout prices are a bargain ($99 + $20 S&H) I couldn't resist and just bought a Belstaff Merlin and I couldn't be happier!! I have included some pics here. This is a really warm jacket!
You can get one for $99 plus S&H from Ebay here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-BELSTAFF-MERLIN-SPORT-TOURING-JACKET-BLACK-RED_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6750QQitemZ80144764 17QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW). I will post the phone number for this merchant tomorrow, and you can call and order directly over the phone.
The jacket is textile, with the shell made out of 500 denier two-tone Cordura. Mine is burgundy and gray, really good looking jacket. The jacket is 100% waterproof (owners swear this is true, I haven't tested it) because of a Hytrel(?) membrane. There is a really sturdy storm flap over the front zipper so that no moisture comes through. The collar is neoprene-lined and adjustable for a weathertight seal. The packets also seem very weatherproof, see photo below.
The jacket has some intake vents on sleeves and exhaust vents on the back for ventilation - can be opened or closed with zippers. There is a full sleeve detachable fleece quilted liner that looks decent. Knox armor over shoulders and elbows is included; there is a pocket for optional back armor. The jacket has reflective material on it.
The Merlin fits me well and seems very comfortable - I am 5' 11" about 180 lb and I got an L size.
Here (http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/printthread.php?Cat=&Board=GearAccess&main=432442&type=thread)is some discussion of it, and here (http://www.motorcyclegearreview.com/reviews.php?prodID=703)are some reviews. I love it, especially at this price!
