I have already searched the archives, but want current info.
Has anyone installed risers and been disappointed?
Has anyone had experience with mcl risers and Helis?
I want to install the 2" up 2" back. I am 6' with very broad shoulders.
I am leaning towards motorcycle Larrys risers based solely on price if they are equal products.
Appreciate your input.

Welcome to the board! When you get a minute, post an intro
We're about the same size. I went without risers for quite awhile. For the most part I had little pain or discomfort and enoyed the riding position and handling of the stock bike. My Sargent seat was all the mods I seem to need to improve comfort.
However I installed MCL risers in the early summer because of a smashed up wrist that needs all the help it can get. I was concerned that the more upright position would affect handling & perhaps riding comfort but because I now couldn't ride for very long I was willing to try nearly anything.
It took a little adjusting to the new position but the risers took pressure off my wrists - (even tho there wasn't much in the 1st place) & handling, with adjsutments made, is fine.
MCL is good, IMO
Satisfied MCL riser customer here. One of the best comfort farkles I've purchased. Great quality. Perfect / easy install. And the free RAM ball mount is great for my GPS! :)

I have the MCL risers. I believe they are 1" up and 2" back but you've been looking more recently than me so 2 and 2 might be right.
I really like mine as I have a neck and shoulders pinched nerve thing. The risers have releaved a lot of the pain.
This is a really subjective thing though and depends on your dimensions and riding position as to whether they will help you are not. If I had to give a ratio of positives versus negatives on this farkle I would say it's about 30:1.

Heli's new & improved model still on sale: Heli Web Site (http://www.helibars.com/pics/honda/05st1300-d.html)
I used this post in addition to the included instructions, and install was simple: Heli Install from ST-Owners Forum (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4735&highlight=Helibar)
