Here's the quick take:
The Gerbing jacket liner produces high levels of evenly-distributed heat that is very comfortable and soothing. :bow1:

The heated collar is lined with a soft, velvety material and seals well against the cold and warms evenly around.

The heated sleeves are very effective, surrounding your arms in warmth. It's also windproof and has Thinsulate insulation to keep the heat in.

Those are the basics.

I love mine. It has been a much better option than a vest

On wintery days, don't leave home without one.

Toasty is good, and my Gerbings is toasty. Excellent cold weather gear.

Just got my jacket liner today and can't wait to test it.
Looks like a quality item and the fit is right on.
The liner is not too bulky and has no issues worn under my leather jacket.
Lots of plug ins for gloves and pants so you can upgrade to the full outfit at anytime.
Do you guys find the need to use a heat-troller or is a simple on/off switch sufficient?

I really like the ability to dial in heat. I permanently mounted a Heatroller in between the battery and a PowerLet power port. I find the full-on setting is too hot for all but the coldest days. Being able to add just a little heat makes you comfortable and reduces fatigue. Wiring in a controller is a good winter project. Last time I noticed you guys get winter up there, eh?

When I first got my heated gear, I went with the on/off switch. I found my self constantly turning it off and on. For me the dual heat-troller was a great investment. It allows me to control the jacket liner with one and the gloves/socks with the other.

You might try the on/off switch and see if it works for you. You can always add the heat-troller later.

Would you guys recommed Gerbing's liner instead of the vest?
Thanks

ThanksYes if you like your arms warm :)

I had an Eclipse vest and now have the Gerbings Jacket liner. I always needed to wear a sweatshirt under the vest for arm warmth.
Now I just wear a long sleeve t-shirt to avoid burning my arms.
Less bulk +more heat = better

I'm planning on removing my liner from my Kili and other jacket and using the Gerbing instead as I always have the option of turning the heat on. What do you think? I saw them at the bike show and I tried the heated liner and its very good indeed.

Unless it's very cold out, I just use the Gerbing jacket liner instead of the zip-in jacket liner. But when it gets down there, I zip in the jacket liner and also use the Gerbing heated liner. Makes for a great combo to keep out the cold.

Excellent! I installed my Gerbing's yesterday. Very pleased indeed! Bought the liner because I saw them at the cycle show. Great people and great product. I switched from a Widder Vest.

My jacket liner gets HOT, so I set my dual controller for only 1/3rd. It's perfect in the morning when it's 40 degrees on the way to work.
My Gerbing gloves plug into the liner but are wired independently (dual wiring), so I set the controller on 10 for the gloves.
