Putting a clear pane in the back of a motorcycle helmet, viewable via a
front-mounted mirror, might seem like an obvious idea in, er, hindsight,
but it took helmet manufacturer Reevu to make it a reality. The company’s
MSX1, which has been the worst-kept secret in biker circles for several
years, has finally made its official debut, at the EICMA show in Milan. The
helmet relies on a distinctive raised crown, which provides a clear line of
sight from front to back, enabling the mirror — made of unbreakable
reflective polycarbonate — to capture the view from the rear. The helmet
is expetcted to be available worldwide at about $399 early next year."
Hmmmmm.
