I have a 01 ST1100 ABS/CBS/TCS 21K miles. I notice that the clutch slave is weeping (rather than leaking) fluid....only noticed it when I was resolving a coolant leak due to loose clip on one of the hoses. I guess this leaking is clutch fluid and is caused by a piston seal failure in the slave unit ??

Is this a common problem on the ST1100 ?

I have noticed no apparent reduction in the master cylinder resevoir and clutch changes are like they always were....somewhat clunky

Thanks

Tim.

Nope, in the 13 years I've been a part of the ST1100 community, yours is the first one I've heard of....

Nope, not common .... the Haynes manual shows the slave end to be relatively simple to remove/clean ... maybe this would cure it.

I did flush mine when I first got my 2002 .... last year ... :biker:
