Got my Hippo Hands in the mail today. They block about half my mirrors. And yes, I'm watering the grass.

LOL!! A couple of miles. I hate to ruin your work Rob. When are you going to wash the dust off it from yesterday?

Just extra earwax. I saw where you were having some fork problems and thought I'd suggest these.

The Hippo Hands are kind of hard to position so I tied them together with some velcro. The temperatures have been in the high 40's today and my hands were cozy. I wish I'd put the liner in my Kilimonjaro though.

Have had hippo hands on my '93 for a few weeks and like them. They need a little tweaking so they stay put- have put a small bungee cord between them so they don't droop so much. Would recommend them to those that commute and are not afraid to put a little time in making them work better.

I received my hippo hands a couple of weeks ago. I hope they work. I also bought me some Widder gloves to keep my hands warm in case the hippo hands don't do the trick.:04biker:

I put the Cabela's mitts on my St1100 and they fit well. They have velcro strips that wrap around the handlebars.

It can be a little difficult to get your hands back in them while moving. No waving at other other motorcyclists with these on. Your hands can easily come out though in case you crash.

I have ridden about 200 miles total at temps in the low 20's and they really helped keep my hands warmer.

It is now in the 40's so I took them off. When it get in the 20's again I will definately put them back on.

Coop, Coop, Coop, what ya a needing the hippo hands for, I thought you had nice warm temps this time of year:D I got a set on my ATV, but I ride that into temps well below zero, never had a need to put them on the ST, you know there comes a time when its just better to leave it in the garage with the security blanket on and take the truck or car.;) :biker:

Danny,
I'll admit it......I'm a whuss about cold. When the temps get into the 40's my fingers get cold, but this time of the year is a great time to ride. The bike is parked right now for the holiday traffic, but I hope to get my new Pilot Roads scuffed soon. Tell Heikki that I was only kidding about his dancing abilities and buy him a beer for me.

To continue the hand protection from cold air/rain discussion, I just ordered a pair of these. They are very popular among the dirtbike / ATV crowd and I think they'll do good on the ST. easily removable (velcro) and flexible enough to store in the side bag (from what I remember). Put them on in the morning when it is cold and take them off later in the day when it warms up. I will post back how I like them after they get here, with pics of course.
