After reading several reviews, I decided to go with the Fieldsheer Siberia jacket and pants. Also looking to order the mash jacket for the summer. The price looks very attractive. Would appreciate responses from anyone who had used the Fieldsheer products.
Have a Fieldsheer one piece and FS pants and jacket. Good value and water PROOF. I have retreated the Jacket once with NikWax.
Buy again? Yes.
Mike,
I have the Fieldsheer Titanium mesh jacket for summer wear. Kept me resonably cool in our desert environment and I think is nicely designed in a "Power Ranger" sort of way.
No issues as to quality, good CE approved removeable hard armor in the shoulders and elbows, a nice removeable hard foam back protector.
Sizing seems to "true", I'm 5' 10" 185lb and the large fits me well, although it may be a little short waisted for those long of torso.
I paid $90 for it on Helmetharbor.com, but also saw them competetively priced on Tonker.com and Newenough.com.
I would buy it again.
Hope that helps.
Warmest regards,
Jeff

I wear Fieldsheer 'Highland' pants on every ride. Fit may be a tad large, but still comfortable...stitching, zippers, velcro, armor, etc. all have proven sturdy and top-notch. Would definitely buy a Fieldsheer textile jacket next time I'm in the market for one.
One note, Brockton Cycle was the main U.S. distributor for Fieldsheer but I see they are dropping the line. Don't know if someone else is stepping in or not....

Did you happen to get one of these jackets? I'm looking for a good winter jacket; I'd like to get a 3/4 length, but it's got to be yellow so that limits the choices some.

Have you looked at the Firstgear Kilimanjaro 2 in yellow? Its not all yellow, it's actually black and yellow.

Yes I did, but the cost is higher than I'd like to go. I can get the FieldSheer for about 2/3 the cost. But only if its a decent set up, thats why I'm asking around. I'll need a good winter jacket and pants as well as summer gear, so I want to keep the price down.
New enough has some nice Cortech and JR stuff, but I'd like 3/4 lenght for the winter jacket if possible.

Have a Fieldsheer Monza II and a Fieldsheer Congo jacket, Love 'em both. Wife has a Joe Rocket Ballistic for 2/3rd's higher price. Fieldsheer seems to be made just as well :04biker:

FYI, I know of at least 3 folks who have had issues with zipper failures on the Fieldsheer mesh jackets. I don't know about the non-mesh jackets, but I haven't been impressed with the quality of the waist length mesh jacket. In all cases the dealer agreed to take the jackets back and refund or swap for something else. One of the folks had her zipper repaired. I think the quality of the First Gear products is superior to both the Fieldsheer and Joe Rocket products.
Another alternative is the Olympia line of jackets. I've tried on some of their jackets and am impressed with the fit, finish and overall quality of the Olympias. Pricing is on a par with any other brand name.
