Got mine from the area BMW dealer. They had them in stock.
$19.36 tax included. An exact fit, but have not yet given them
a try. Weather etc.
If you have a BMW dealer nearby it may be simpler than on-line.

Got mine at the Honda shop (deals BMW's also.)
I have a barely used pair (somewhere in my cluttered garage) for sale cheap. I found them just marginally better than stock as far as comfort and size, so went to foam grips (I like larger grips).

Bought the ones i had on my old r1100-at my local Bimmer dealer-no wait-in stock-20 bucks-tapered,circular rings-very nice-direct fit. They are larger for American size hands and somewhat padded by their design. Recently added heat (Symtec), kept the grips- just drilled a hole in the throttle side for the wire--sweet.

My local bimmer dealer had to order the grips. New dealer so maybe they did not understand that these are popular grips beyond the model they are designated for.

I have a brand new set, I ordered them and then found that the bike already had them (I bought it used.) I didn't like them...:(
So, $15 and they are yours! (shipped)

Since my first '72 Yamaha 250 Twin, I have been replacing my grips with fatter grips. Starting with my first '85 700 Sabre, I have been using foam grips with the chrome ends.
After getting my '05 ST1300, I started looking around with what would fit with the bar ends. On the '84 V65 Sabre with bar ends, it wasn't too much of a problem, I just drilled through the ends with a small drill bit for the bolt to fit through and the inside plugs for the bar ends fit in fine too, so they were an easy mod. :04biker:
I found a set at Chapparal made by Drag Specialities. I figured I could cut them down and they would do fine. I didn't expect the end caps to be a 1/4" thick metal. And of course, I had to cut out a 7/8" hole on the ends of these things. It wasn't easy, the metal of those caps was harder then I expected. :cus:
After cutting the holes, I then had to flatten the end caps, (unlike the V65, where the bar end weights are curved and matched the end caps okay). this took me forever with a grinder and a large file. But they work great now!

Chicago Cycle has them for $7.76 each, according to their website.
