The Tour Master Flex ordered was deliverd by UPS Monday. I got the Large (44) it's a little snug with the rain and cold weather liners installed, with a long sleave shirt. My chest is 42, gut 45-46 and 38 belt size. The sleaves are quite a bit snugger than the Joe Rocket Phoenix, the armour does not move around. However it feels good with just the rain liner or without it, jacket length and sleaves are just about right. Think the next size would be too long in the sleve and would swallow me.

I was just looking for a new hot/warm weather jacket with a little more protection than my worn JR Phoenix 1.0, something with the CE armour. Here in Texas, we get over 90 F days half the year. The water proof and cold weather liner just seem like a bonus.

I have heard that a snugger fit gives a little more crash protection. What do you guys think, keep the 44 or go to the 46?

From Webbikeworld

"Don't forget that armor will only do its job when it stays in place, so a snug fit is best. Most riders I've come across wear their clothing at least one size too big. Baggy is not better with motorcycle clothing!"

The size 44 seemed a little tight with both liners installed standing around off the bike, but felt good mounted on the bike.

Last Sunday (January, 15) it was about 50 F when 23 of us we started a ride. I started with the rain and therm liners installed, it was comfortable, probably good for 30-60 F. Later that day when it warmed up to 65-70 the liners were removed, it felt just about right. I have not tired the jacket with the fabric panels removed with the mesh showing. Jacket seems perfect so far.
