I just ordered some Gerbing gear. I ordered the dual controller that is hard wired. I was curious to know if anyone else has this unit and where they mounted it. I am hoping to get mine tomorrow and install ASAP. Thanks:03biker:

Does no one use this or is everyone just busy today?

I got the liner and the dual controller. Be sure and get the leather pouch. You can then use some velcro or simply put it in your pocket. I switched from Widder and I am very pleased.

I second the "get the leather pouch". I clip mine to the side of my tank bag so I can see it.

Thanks all I did get the leather pouch The hard wire part is just the power cord I didn't realize the controller plugged in to it. Thanks for the tips.:03biker:

I have the dual controller too with the leather pouch. I clip it to my jackets and wrap all the cords from it into a velcro opening side pocket that is hard to use for anything else. The ends of the cords poke out the bottom of the velcro opening so I can pull them out far enough when I need them and they slip back in very easily to the same position. I have a magnetic tank bra where I put a piece velcro and I velcro'd the cord from the battery to the velcro and the tank bra. Makes it easy to access on the move.

Good luck with your setup. At some point I think I would like to hard wire the controller into the bike but up 'til now I've been pretty happy with that way I have it.

I'll enclose a picture of the battery plug. It's the cord on the bottom of the two. The other is my intercom headset plug.

Good luck with your setup.

I ran a few fused circuits up to the center triple clamp near the ignition switch. I like the 2-pole SAE trailer plugs. I just convert the end of the Gerbring hard wire harness to a SAE plug.

Lets me power anything cheaply and reliably, and is convieniant to recharge stuff in the tank bag.
