Any suggestions for helmet lock options on the ST would be great. I have the top box that's one place to secure them. The I really can't use the top box for "other" items.

Then there is the license plate helmet lock bracket. Just wondering if there are there any other options? I might try a short braded security cable through each helmet and the grab handle? suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

100% agree with Biddyman!!! Anyone,,, ANYONE AT ALL,,, who want to put a helmet on a ST,,, SHOULD,,, have these!!!

I have the License plate Helmet Lock Thingy,,, and,,, never use it after finding this far cheaper and better idea...

I use the factory ones underneath the seat.....It is in the owners manual.

I made a couple of 4-inch wire loops for helmets that the strap was not long enough, works great!

I too use the brake/clutch lever studs... Used to use the under-seat
points but too much of a hassle removing/reinstalling the seat... (for me anyway)
Just dont tighten em up too much :) Ya still want the break/clutch levers to be able to be used..

Will these work for a ST1100?

Will these work for a ST1100?

Have to wait for one of the ST1100 owners to speak up.

I just got on the parts catalog and all the early 90 ST1100s use the same bolt as the ST1300s. So, I would say that it will work for ya.

My husband and I use these, he used to have a 'Wing and that's how he found them, but we use them on his cruiser, my ST1100, etc. They're great- we just keep the padlock key with the bike keys... really handy. The only thing is my full-face strap is too short, so I got some of those extender bars...

I use the Helmet Guardian mounted like this. http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1949&highlight=Helmet+Guardian

.... & one less thing in the handle bar area where its getting "full o' farkles".

This is a good solution IMO.

I went to a gun shop and bought a shotgun safety lock. Its a small braided cable( 1/8") and is plastic coated and has a small padlock attached. It works well and you can lock your helmet to the handlebars or just about anywhere else you might want. Works for me.
