I'm one of those people who is really finnicky about their feet. I hate to have them too constricted and I don't like heavy footwear, so while I hate to admit it, I often ride in tennis shoes or lightweight Sidi high tops. I good friend from work was taking a MSF class, crashed, and shattered her ankle in the process which got me thinking more about my footwear habits. Since I'm switching jobs after the first of the year, and have to give up my bus commute due to a new job, I thought I'd get some new boots as I plan to ride my ST so I can take advantage of the carpool lanes.

I tried on a bunch of boots until I visited one of my local BMW dealerships. I went there to get some Rev-It gear and tried on a pair on BMW Contour boots. Love at first sight!! These were comfortable right out of the box yet feel like they give me good support.

JM, a lot of the Bimmer boots are made by other manufacturers. For instance, you can get a similar SIDI boot for a lot less w/ out the BMW brand.

LL - thanks for the heads up. I was able to get these boots for $200 because I did a package deal with the dealer, but I'll definitely keep that in mind when I get another pair.
