I was just reading about the difference in insurance prices in the USA. Does anyone know who has the best rates in Canada. Thanks....John.

Prices vary greatly in Canada and can be very different even within Provinces, it really seems to depend on your location. I am currently with Primmum and pay just under $700 a year for my coverage on my ST11, which does not include collision. I have been riding for 30+ years and, at the moment, have a clean record with no accidents or tickets.
You will need to call around to get quotes based on your location and record. I have heard there has been an increase to the rates this year, so good luck finding a reasonable price.

52, married, 1M liability, $1,000 deductable on collision + specified perils. No tickets, no accidents, pleasure only, no commuting to work, 2002 ST1100.
Rates based on value and type of bike and where you live. If you live in or near Toronto or other major city the premium, my circumstance, can be +30% or 40%.
Rates vary significantly, you've got to take the time to shop around.
2010 TD Meloche Monnex = $702
2009 TD Meloche Monnex = $755
2008 Ridersplus/Echelon = $966
2007 Ridersplus/Echelon = $986
2006 Ridersplus/Echelon = $797
2005 Ridersplus/Kingsway = $1,004
2004 Ridersplus/Kingsway = $1,081
2003 Ridersplus/Kingsway = $1,091
PS....... you're in the wrong subforum to get proper coverage on your question

Thanks all, I live in Waterdown just outside of Toronto. I thought I posted to the Ontario forum but maybe it should have gone elsewhere. I am new at this game.....John.
