I pulled the rear wheel to have a new tire put on today. It's the first time i've had it off on my used '93. I noticed a lot wear on the hub surface that the thrust washer touches. No lube at all in this area or on splines. I'm guessing it's worn .010-.020". The washer measures .031. It's worn so much that the drive flange is rubbing on the bolts that mount the plate that hold in the rubber drive deals (see pic).

My question is if someone can measure their wheel and tell me how much distance should be between the top wheel bearing surface and the surface on the hub that the washer touches (see pic). Mine is around .087. Measure the washer thickness too.

I'm thinking maybe i could use 2 washers to take up the slack but need to know how much it's worn.

Thx. for your help. I'm sure nobody's gonna run out and pull their wheel for me, but please keep my question in mind if you have it off.
