I have a Belstaff jacket that is about 3 years old and it doesn't repel water for very long anymore.
I just wondered if anyone has used waterproofing on the material such as Scotchguard or anything else?

Try the NikWax products. They are usually found in outdoor supply stores.
Seems to work well. Wash with one product, then add second product to the rinse.
Good luck.

Frogg Toggs work well :D

What you are experiencing is an increased air flow through the fabric.
I learned to never trust in any water proofing on my clothing but rather use special purpose apparel for that.

I use the scothguard spray on my textile Rocket jacket every Spring (it's the blue can for canvas and textile not upholstery) and works very well. Just put your gear on hangers and either spray outside or in the garage and let dry overnight. Two applications. Pretty stinky stuff but works for me! Marty
