Do You ride w/ your restrictors on or off?
I heard an ST1100 with aftermarket pipes the other day, did not really like the exhaust note so it must be a personal preference.
The ST1300 rocks with Staintunes (with restrictors). Music to my ears.

Mine didn't even make it on my bike with the restrictors on. For that much coin, I want to get my money's worth. If I want to hear a quieter ST, all I need to do is shut down mine and fire up Maggies. :D

I'm going to take them off and make plenty of car alarms go off in Palm Springs.....he he....!

I leave my Staintune resistors in because I leave for work at 4:30 am, otherwise they'd be out. In or out, the pipes have a very nice sound.

Hey if you think the ST is bad for setting off alarms, my Buell with the Borla slip-on with the side exit would sweep the street and set off any alarmed car that was around! Fortunately the Staintunes w/o the restrictors are no where near as loud as the Borla.

I like the ST to be low-key. I have a ZX12 with a titanium ART race can, which is better suited for truly antisocial behaviour.

It's all relative. In the H-D crowds around Bowling Green the LEO would not even look once at my ST with the Staintunes. B/T that and the Vettes, Hot Rods and everyone waiting to spin their tires at Beech Bend, this little ST gets lost, which is fine.
