Thought this may be a logical place to start a thread on our favorite riding technique books. It's a pretty common question out in the General Forum, so rather than making members search all over for such a list, how about we make it land here. My favorites are as follows:

Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well by David Hough
More Proficient Motorcycling: Mastering the Ride by David Hough
Smooth Riding the Pridmore Way by Reg Pridmore
Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch
Total Control: High-Performance Street Riding Techniques by Lee Parks
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Guide To Motorcycling Excellence: Skills, Knowledge, and Strategies For Riding Right by Motorcycle Safety Foundation

I'm also a big fan of the Ride Like a Pro III DVD by former motorman Jerry Paladino.

A Twist of the Wrist II - Keith Code

This book appears to be more about riding/racing in track conditions however, the basic physics of what happens when you start/stop/take a curve, etc are explained and it helps you understand what is really happening.

I loved it and it may be a very basic enty level type of book but sometimes you just have to get back to the basics.

I think I own probably all of the above books and my favorite is Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch. I like his writing style.

I've taken several Keith Code classes and think they're great, but can't seem to stay awake when I try to read Twist Of The Wrist.

I agree a good book with useful tips. I liked the advice about avoiding those "survival instincts" that can cause you to over-react to situations and make things worse :03biker:
