I am now registered for the re-scheduled post Katrina inaugeral run of the Ride Around Texas!

I needed a 2000 mile IBA cert to enter the RAT Insanity Gold 70 hour ride so I registered for the RAT Insanity for 3112 miles in 85 hours. Figure I can try to be done in the 70 hours or loaf along for the 85 hours with the same result :D.

Looks like I will be departing Texarcana on May 9th and going clockwise once around the state. Al is thinking about going but he still needs his IBA number from Kneebone.

This will be the first run of the NEW IBA certified RAT and I have not investigated but I bet you could also incorporate one of the new SS1000 inside the state rides. (course, where is the challenge of 1000 miles inside TX? Rhode Island OTOH )

Cool Paul, There is a 24 hour rally event at the same time for what its worth.

With all the ST1300 riders in Texas we should be able to generate a real good showing.

This might be something I could do... but I don't know if I'll be able to squeeze in a SS1k between March and then so I'll get my IBA membership :( I'll have to play it by ear Chris. My wife, SHE, actually told me that my bike was a great purchase today... a good investment  I about died!!! She is warming up to me doing some LD riding since the work situation is changing :) It was a wierd day

Check for large unexplained amounts on your charge cards. Whenever mine starts telling me how good or smart I am it usually means something expensive has come up... Be vewey, vewey suwspicious....

I'm seriously looking at this. If The Twist n Shout boys don't hurry up and post final dates for their Arizona rally I'm doing the RAT.

Paul

Twist n Shout should be the weekend of May 21st this year & will be staged in the Springervill area, close to the New Mexico / AZ border.

Hey, I see you are in El Paso. My first IBA cert I rode from Yuma to El Paso, had a cheese burger & rode home. Got a SS1K for that ride.
