Thanks Ken,

It looks like they dropped the price on this update again. I'm not sure why but I'm happy to see it. It was $150 like past updates. Then it was $75 and now it's $50.

The update is worth it now and I hope Garmin will continue to offer the updates at these lower rates. $150 every year is just too much. I would have skipped version 6 but I needed routing in Canada so I sucked it up and dropped the $150 to get it.

If you go to the web site the unlock code is still $75 (unless I'm looking at it wrong)

It's still better than $150 which is what it was at one point. Thanks for checking it out.

I never verify information. I simply purchase things blindly. ;)

City Select and City Navigator are two different products. $50 and $75 respectively.

Ken do you work for Garmin?

When was the update ever 150. I paid around 110 for a new version of City Select a couple of years ago. gpsdiscount.com. Currently $106. Last time I updated, V6, it was 75.

I thought City Select was Europe? Man I always get this screwed up. So City Select is for the 3-numbered GPS's?

City Select is for any routing GPS that does not come with mapping software. Not just handhelds. The Streetpilots come with maps and those are called City Navigator. You can use City Select in the streetpilots should you so desire.
