Is anyone interested in a Starcom1 Advance group buy?

I have already talked to Tecstar (makers of Starcom1) about the possibility of doing a group buy. I need an idea of how many would be interested if the price was right.

I'm still considering my options but will keep an eye on this thread.
I've been interested in adding a comm system for some time and maybe this is the impetus to finally do it. My wait had more to do with looking at Bluetooth wireless solutions.

Anyone on this board running the StarCom, if so how do you like it. I too have been considering what to purchase for comm.

I've got the fore-runner to the current model. Works fine for my needs (GPS, tunes, intercom, V1, and GMRS/CB.

I've run the Starcom 1 for nearly two years and am quite pleased with it.

I've recently upgraded to the Advance and sometime in April or May should be able to give an update on the comparison of the two. I decided to go for the Advance in part because of the reduced size...I plan on installing it in the lockable right hand fairing pocket. There's a bunch of other enhancements on the Advance such as increased fidelity and individual volume controls, those will be a bonus.

I currently have the regular Starcom but I might be interested in the new advance.

How does this unit compare to the new Autocom's?

This is good timing for me and this is the unit I'm most interested in. Can we get a group deal on the blue tooth adapter too if this is successful?

Yes the BlueTooth adapter and other options would be part of the group buy if we can get enough people interested.

20 would be a good number.
Charlie, did you test the XM under plastic? ;)
I have my 2730 now, but I want to wait till april to activate it. Have you tried the XM NavTraffic yet?

Well, nothing can under-perform my Motocomm AudioBoss - I'll go for the first best buy that comes around.

I'm in as well, assuming it happens sometime soon. I need to have it installed before Daytona.
