I got selected from a pool of a few folks to be an MSF instructor. I go to school in March. I am so looking forward to this. I have been helping out a lot in the last few months but now I get to really do it.

Good luck with the new venture.
I have been training riders for some time now here in the UK, from beginners through to advanced rider courses and advanced instructor courses.
Best of luck and hope it all pays off.

Where are you at? I'm going to training also in March. Mine will be in Lexington or Louisville, KY. They are considering a couple of training options. My least favorite is 7 days in a row. I hate to burn a week of vacation. It will probably end up a weekend+Thurs/ Friday and another weekend to do a teaching course (2 more days).
I have taken the ERC 2x in the last 4 years. After 30+ years riding there are 1 or 2 things I can convey to riders plus the course material. I found the ERC was a good refresher course and a reminder of skills that need to be practiced regularly.
Good Luck

I just found out my training is the 14-21 of May. I hate to burn a week of vacation but... it should be worthwhile.

Mine is one fell swope with our BRC teaching on the last 2 days. Should be fun 7 days of all motorcycle stuff. KY MSF will pick up 1/2 the motel and lunch.
From what I am told I could "teach" every weekend if I wanted. I think that 3-6 will probably be enough for me.
