I had a short that burned the contacts on the horn switch, and when I checked on a replacement, all I could find is the whole left side switch assemby for 80 bucks or so. Not wanting to pay for the whole enchilada, I disassembled the clamshell and worked my way down to the horn switch. I took a rough edge and cleaned off the contacts, and it worked fine.

I'm ok for now, but probably shortened the life of the switch. When it comes time for a replacement, has anyone had luck just getting the horn switch?

I'd be inclined to use Honda's 3 year warranty for that one. If your dealer is decent, they should help you out. I know mine would.

Thanks. I've got a good relationship with the service manager and may talk to him about getting one. It's obvious that I've modified the electrical so I'm on weak ground for a warranty claim.

If anyone has a good pic and measurements of the internals, I can probably get you a replacement switch.

I'm ok so far, but it's good to know there are possibilities if it fails again.

Make sure you use a relay to run any high load accessories like aftermarket horns through that switch.
