For those of you who live in the highly regulated states that require inspection stickers, where do you have yours on the bike? My previous bikes had them on one of the fork tubes, but the dealer who sold me the bike placed in up under/inside the fairing on the left side. You have to get down low and look up under the fairing to even see it. It's out of sight - but I wonder if it's legal.

What options do we have for those ugly stickers?

Most people I know in NC don't even put inspection stickers on their bikes. Look around sometime.

By design, they go on the license plate in Mass. Is that an option in NC?

No, they are big and gaudy here, would cover 1/2 the plate. :(

(knock on wood) I've never been asked about my inspection when I've been stopped. I quit bothering to have it done about 5 years ago.

In the military we have to have base stickers on our vehicles - I put mine the front forks, but I know people that build little plates for them and connect them to the front reflector - which I think looks worse than the front fork - I guess if you ever have to take it off is the issue

Mine are always stuck to the lower rear of the left fork.

Hmmmm, not quite that big (I'm in NC also) but mines tucked away on the fairing bottom part over the front wheel . Not visable but a officer can see it if necessary.

NCRider. If you ever have the misfortune to get stopped by on of NCs finest they WILL ticket you for not having it on the bike. Trust me on that one.

I think most folks do have the sticker on the bike but like me sorta hide the thing. No biggie to me.

Not possible here in NC. Its all computerized. Two months after letting inspection run out I got a warning letter from the great state telling me to get it done pronto or next step would be a $250.00 fine. They got us by the short hairs on this one.

That's where mine is, too - Charlotte Honda put it there.

Mine actually is falling apart - it didn't stick too well and started flapping and self destructed. Only about half of it is left. I still have the receipt, tho'. I like it hidden, but I'm a little concerned about the LEOs. Sounds like it's pretty common to "hide" them - so I feel better.

Of course, if it's parked and a LEO checks it out - I doubt he'll find the sticker. That could mean a invite to see the Judge...

So what is the down side of covering half the plate?
Oh yeah... photo radar wouldn't be able to get your plate number...

NY and PA it has to be visible. (They do have checkpoints on occaisionally)

They usually go either on the left fork or on the side of the front fender if that's the only place. Easy enough to remove each year with "GooGone" or something similar.
