Decision on picture rating not solely based on picture quality. Decisions are based on the overall content, backgrounds, significance of rides, significance of friends, animals & family values or dysfunctional families(extra point), craziness, toys, blurriness(sp?), smiles, funny gestures, shiny and clean bikes, dirty & muddy bikes (extra points), relation of bike to overall content, picture captions, nature scenes, garages, tools, farkles, new and old bikes, etc etc........Its basically a gut instinct before thay are rated. I'm glad this system works, as a lot more of you are looking at pictures and enjoying them.

I suspect another criteria for rating pictures (if it isn't a criteria, it should be) is the file size. Someone noted in an earlier post that they were on a dial up connection and it took forever for some of the pictures to load. Perhaps we should consider compressing the pictures before we post them.

Just my two cents... :)

I don't know if they're downsizing or not. I just remember a member recently suggesting that the pics loaded as attachments seemed to be huge and take a long time to d/l. I have cable so it isn't a problem but I rmember the old days, waiting and waiting for a picture to finally appear and so I sympathize with those on dialup connections!

Folks, The first round of rating pictures by the committee is just about complete. There are some true gems in the Gallery.

Now, feel free to post pictures in the Gallery. Remember, only dudes that contribute/donate to this site can post them in the Gallery.. Lets open our pockets and contribute to this terrific site. I have no financial or other interest here. JuST a happy ST owner. Lets see more pictures....

Thanks and keep pointing and clicking. All pictures submitted eventually be rated. Also read comments about your pictures in the Gallery as well.
