Has anyone used one of these tents?

I read about it in MC cons. news, and it looks like just what I need. I was just curious how they got the tent, sleeping bag and stool all in that small pouch. I am one that likes to see and touch something before I buy it, and can't seem to find one in the KC area. If MC cons. news likes it, I ussualy do to, but if anyone has tried it I would appreciate thier input. Thanks Phil

Never tried or seen it. Dunno what your budget is. I would say the best camping gear is Sierra Designs for tent and sleep bag. It's light weight and expedition grade. I use mine for kayaking.

Haven't seen anyone with this yet but I've seen people ask about it. I use a Eureka Apex2XTA and a Eureka sleeping bag with compression sack. I can get both plus a footprint tarp and some small items into one saddlebag.

I got a Eureka Apex 3XTA (3 man Alloy poles) new on eBay 2005 closeout for $103 and Slumerjack Super Guide 30+ mummy bag from same seller for $68. Picked up a Coleman twin size Quickbed air mattress from Dick's Sporting Goods and it all fits, with some room for small items, in a medium (11x21) Ortleib dry duffle from Aerostich $60. Strap is across the backseat or luggage rack and good to go.

All this was around $231 and I spec'ed the gear I wanted. You could probably do better (get better quality gear) buying it seperately yourself. Especially in winter as most camping places sell last years gear really cheap. Check out campmor.com for some great prices on gear.

Can you get the 3XTA packed in a top box or side luggage?

I have an Eureka Mountain Pass 2XT which sleeps two. It is well made and I highly recommend it. I can easily pack it in the side bag of the ST with a self inflatable pad.

This year I'm dumping the pad and trying a cot I learned about on this forum. (Go-Kot) That won't fit in the bags, but my preliminary trials make it much better for me compared to the 3/4 pad I had.

Maybe some of this info would be helpful for you.

Can that website provide even smaller images? I can sort of make out the tent.
