I just finished installing a custom fabricated bracket for my 2610. I wanted to place my 2610 in the same location that a dash shelf would allow but I didn't want a shelf covering the entire dash. I have installed a similiar sub-structure under the fairing as a dash shelf (sorry, I didn't take pictures). The audio for the Autocom is hooked up under the fairing.
Picture are attached below showing the bracket components and the various stages of the install.
That's sweet dude. Did the install requre the removal of any of the tupperware?

Very nicely done! Where'd you get the sun shade for the 2610?

SpEd,
Thanks... Yes, the inner screen cowl must be removed to install the wiring harness for the 2610 and to install the sub-structure to support the dash bracket. I also removed the left side middle cowl to route the audio lead to the Autocom under the passenger seat.

Medicine Bear,
I ordered the visor from V&P.
http://www.vpaccessories.com/1800.htm (About 1/4 down the page)
Ordered it on Sunday night, arrived Wed. Very good service. $16.25 delivered.
It came with double-sided tape installed but I replaced it with velcro.
I like that it doesn't block the IR window from the side, I'm going to need a straight shot to the IR window from the left side for a future farkle.

Danf,
You can make them very easily. Buy amber LED clearance lights at Wal-mart, see attached jpg. Cut off the side mounting flanges so that you are left with a sealed rectangle enclosure. Clean the enclosure with alcohol. Black out the enclosure, except for the front, with a black permanent marker. Attach 3M molding tape to one side. Remove the windshield and inner screen cowl to install. You will need to remove the top right sensor from the windshield mechanism for the right side, then reinstall. Wire directly to your turn signal circuit since these are already setup to run from 12V.

With a little bit of modification to your main mount piece you could market that bracket for people with shelves also.

What does the bracket under the cowl look like? Would you make the mounting system to sell to other 1300 riders?
